CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - 30 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE A NEW FORD F350 TRUCK FROM VALLEY FORD TRUCK, AT A COST OF $48,243.00, THROUGH THE STATE PURCHASE PROGRAM; AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service recommends that the City acquire one (1) new Ford F350 Truck from Valley Ford Truck for use within the Department of Public Service, Wastewater Treatment Plant, at a cost of $48,243.00, as established on the State Purchase Program; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase said equipment through the State Purchase Program and to further authorize the Mayor to execute any contract documents required for such expenditure, including a contract with Valley Ford Truck. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase through the State Purchase Program, which was established by R.C. Section 125.04, and which the City is authorized to participate in pursuant to the City Charter and Resolution No. 87-6, one (1) new Ford F350 Truck, at a cost of $48,243.00, from Valley Ford Truck, all of which is described in the specifications on file in the Service Department. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any contract documents with vendors and, as necessary, to effectuate the State Purchase Program. Any contract executed by the Mayor shall be in a form and substance consistent with the provisions of this Resolution and be approved by the Director of Law. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
