CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - 43 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE A NEW <br />JACOBSON HR600 ROTARY MOWER FROM BAKER VEHICLE SYSTEMS <br />AT A COST OF $62,680.00 THROUGH THE STATE PURCHASE <br />PROGRAM, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE <br />ALL CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the City acquire one (1) new Jacobson HR600 <br />Rotary Mower from Baker Vehicle Systems for use at Springvale Golf Course, at a cost of <br />$62,680.00, as established on the State Purchase Program; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase said <br />equipment through the State Purchase Program and to further authorize the Mayor to execute any <br />contract documents required for such expenditure, including a contract with Baker Vehicle <br />Systems. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase through the <br />State Purchase Program, which was established by R.C. Section 125.04, and which the City is <br />authorized to participate in pursuant to the City Charter and Resolution No. 87-6, one (1) new <br />Jacobson HR600 Rotary Mower from Baker Vehicle Systems for use at Springvale Golf Course, <br />at a cost of $62,680.00, as established on the State Purchase Program, all of which is described in <br />the Quotation on file. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any contract documents with <br />vendors and, as necessary, to effectuate the State Purchase Program. Any contract executed by <br />the Mayor shall be in a form and substance consistent with the provisions of this Resolution and <br />be approved by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately so <br />that the purchase orders can secure delivery in time for spring mowing season; and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ���,fC �s>�� First Reading:3 <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: <br />Committee: <br />ATTEST: <br />
