CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - 61 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE NORTH OLMSTED COMMUNITY PARK WALKING PATH PROJECT, AND FURTHER APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR SAID PROJECT AND ADDITIONALL Y A UTHORIZING THE MAYOR, AFTER APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted received $100,000.00 in the form of a grant for construction of a walking path at the North Olmsted Community Park; and WHEREAS, the anticipated total cost of the project is $100,000.00 in construction costs, $10,325.00 in engineering fees and $1,500.00 in legal advertising; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Planning and Community Development to advertise for bids for the North Olmsted Community Park Walking Path Project, and to further authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder, after Board of Control approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Planning and Community Development be and is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for construction of the North Olmsted Community Park Walking Path Project, and further, that upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That to provide for the expenses for the City of North Olmsted Community Park Walking Path Project, the sums of $100,000.00, $10,325.00 and $1,500.00, are hereby set aside and appropriated. SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest date provided for by law.
