MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MAY 5, 2020 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Ilemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Hunan <br />Resources Gallo, Director of I...aw Gareau. Director of Planning & <br />Community Development Lieber and Clerk of Council Massarolo <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. through GoToMeeting. <br />Due to the meeting being a virtual meeting, Council President Jones requested if any <br />member of the public using a computer wished to address Council to notifying the Clerk <br />via the chat feature in GoToMeeting and they would be called on later in the meeting. For <br />those dialing in via phone, the lines would be unmated during the appropriate portion of' <br />the meetinLy. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of April 21, 2020 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: First Reading: Ordinance 2020-54, <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• No workers from City Hall have tested positive for COVID-19. The Mayor is also <br />not aware ofanyone testing positive in any 01-01C Citv's nursing homes and senior <br />living areas. <br />• The City has spent a little over $27,000 on PPF.. and is well stocked. Council was <br />sent an inventory list. <br />• Bulk pick-up and yard waste are back to normal pick-up and Springvale is open to <br />the public. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• Director Lieber and Clerk Massarolo have been working with IT on the <br />telecommunication side of things. Director Lieber has been working to get the <br />Planning & Design Commission meetings up and running along with BLBA. <br />• i'lhere will be a Charter Review Commission meeting on May 7 at 7:00 p.m. <br />"There are a number of' topics up for discussion. Like this meeting, it will be <br />through GoToMeeting. <br />• There has been discussion about domestic violence with everyone remaining at <br />home. Chief Wagner and our Prosecutor said we are not seeing that in North <br />Olmsted. For the time period of March 16 through the present there has been 10 <br />calls for domestic violence and six arrests. In a similar time period last year there <br />were 19 calls and 1 1 arrests. <br />
