MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED MAY 5, 2020 Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Ilemann, Kelly, Limpert, Schumann & Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Hunan Resources Gallo, Director of I...aw Gareau. Director of Planning & Community Development Lieber and Clerk of Council Massarolo Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. through GoToMeeting. Due to the meeting being a virtual meeting, Council President Jones requested if any member of the public using a computer wished to address Council to notifying the Clerk via the chat feature in GoToMeeting and they would be called on later in the meeting. For those dialing in via phone, the lines would be unmated during the appropriate portion of' the meetinLy. The Council Meeting Minutes of April 21, 2020 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: First Reading: Ordinance 2020-54, REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • No workers from City Hall have tested positive for COVID-19. The Mayor is also not aware ofanyone testing positive in any 01-01C Citv's nursing homes and senior living areas. • The City has spent a little over $27,000 on PPF.. and is well stocked. Council was sent an inventory list. • Bulk pick-up and yard waste are back to normal pick-up and Springvale is open to the public. Director of Law Gareau: • Director Lieber and Clerk Massarolo have been working with IT on the telecommunication side of things. Director Lieber has been working to get the Planning & Design Commission meetings up and running along with BLBA. • i'lhere will be a Charter Review Commission meeting on May 7 at 7:00 p.m. "There are a number of' topics up for discussion. Like this meeting, it will be through GoToMeeting. • There has been discussion about domestic violence with everyone remaining at home. Chief Wagner and our Prosecutor said we are not seeing that in North Olmsted. For the time period of March 16 through the present there has been 10 calls for domestic violence and six arrests. In a similar time period last year there were 19 calls and 1 1 arrests.
