Council Minutes of 6-16-2020 advertise for bids for construction services and to solicit proposals for design services for the Butternut Ridge Pocket Park Project, and further appropriating funds for said project and additionally authorizing the Mayor, after approval by the Board of Control, to enter into contracts with the lowest and best bidder and the selected design professional, as amended. Councilman Kelly moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed 7-0. Roll Call: Yes: Kelly, Hemann, Williamson, Schumann, Glassburn, Brossard, Limpert No: None Motion carried. Resolution 2020-60 adopted 7-0. Resolution 2020-61 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Community Development to advertise for bids for construction services for the North Olmsted Community Park Walking Path Project, and further appropriating funds for said project and additionally authorizing the Mayor, after approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2020-62 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution adopting the alternative tax budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2021, and submitting the same to the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer and its Budget Commission, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2020-52 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract to purchase a new Ford F550/5500 Ford truck for use at the Wastewater Treatment Plant from Mtech Company and to include installation of a maintainer crane assembly and incidental equipment from Maintainer corporation, at a combined cost of $131,888.00, through the State Purchase Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all contract documents. Ordinance 2020-63 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance approving and authorizing the acceptance of coronavirus relief funding under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and Ohio Senate Bill No. 310, affirming the expenditure of said funds by the City consistent with the CARES Act, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Schumann moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings as it was heard in committee this evening and it needs to be passed quickly in order to give the administration as much time as possible to get everything the City is entitled to and under contract by the deadline.
