Council Minutes of 6-16-2020 <br />advertise for bids for construction services and to solicit proposals for design services for <br />the Butternut Ridge Pocket Park Project, and further appropriating funds for said project <br />and additionally authorizing the Mayor, after approval by the Board of Control, to enter <br />into contracts with the lowest and best bidder and the selected design professional, as <br />amended. Councilman Kelly moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Hemann and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Kelly, Hemann, Williamson, Schumann, Glassburn, Brossard, Limpert <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2020-60 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2020-61 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Community Development to <br />advertise for bids for construction services for the North Olmsted Community Park <br />Walking Path Project, and further appropriating funds for said project and additionally <br />authorizing the Mayor, after approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract <br />with the lowest and best bidder. Councilman Kelly moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Kelly, Hemann, Limpert, Brossard, Glassburn, Schumann, Williamson <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2020-61 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2020-62 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution adopting the alternative tax budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal <br />year beginning January 1, 2021, and submitting the same to the Cuyahoga County Fiscal <br />Officer and its Budget Commission, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2020-52 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract to purchase a new Ford <br />F550/5500 Ford truck for use at the Wastewater Treatment Plant from Mtech Company <br />and to include installation of a maintainer crane assembly and incidental equipment from <br />Maintainer corporation, at a combined cost of $131,888.00, through the State Purchase <br />Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all contract documents. <br />Ordinance 2020-63 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance approving and authorizing the acceptance of coronavirus relief funding under <br />the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and Ohio Senate Bill <br />No. 310, affirming the expenditure of said funds by the City consistent with the CARES <br />Act, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Schumann moved to suspend the rules <br />requiring three readings as it was heard in committee this evening and it needs to be <br />passed quickly in order to give the administration as much time as possible to get <br />everything the City is entitled to and under contract by the deadline. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Brossard and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />5 <br />
