IVIIERE4S, the City of North Olmsted has received funding though the CARV.S Act for health and safety projects, including capital and facilities improvements, to prevent the spread of COV ID -19: and IMEREAS, the City has solicited not less the three (1) quotes iter a contract to supply touchless plumbing; and electrical fixtures. as Nvell as related stthplies. to upgrade n1ui7icipal bathroom facilities and has selected Will Supply Company based on the attached purchase order riot to exceed $92,658.00: anis WHEREAS, the Charter under Article V111. Section 6. permits contracting without public bidding in the event of a "r -cal and present emert.,cnc1 in order to provide for the public health, safety. and welfare°", and WHEREAS, the acquisition of touchless plumbing and electrical fixtures to deter the comntunity spread of COVID-19 is a real and present emer<gencN justik entering into a contract With Will Supply Company Without delay; and fVHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of` North Olmsted. exempting this purchase fi-0111 public bidding as a real and present eniergency, in order to provide for the immediate preservation oi` public health, safety and welfare: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLNISTFD. COUNTY OF C1 17K I HOG AND STA TE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be, and lie hereby is, authorized to enter into a contract vy ith Win Supply Company, in an amount not to exceed $92,658.00, for the purchase of touchless plumbing and electrical fixtures and supplies, as set firth on the attached Exhibit A. Sh:CTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergcnc\ mcasure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety. and welfare, and for the f nifier reason that these upgrades will deter the community spread of' COVID-19; and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of CouriCiL it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its p tssa,-,e and approval by the Mayor.
