MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />AUGUST 18, 2020 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert & Schumann <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, <br />Resources Gallo, <br />Lieber, Assistant <br />Massarolo <br />Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human <br />Director of Planning & Community Development <br />Director of Law O'Malley and Clerk of Council <br />Absent: Council Member Williamson <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:04 p.m. through GoToMeeting. <br />Due to the meeting being a virtual meeting, Council President Jones requested if any <br />member of the public using a computer wished to address Council to notify the Clerk via <br />the chat feature in GoToMeeting and they would be called on later in the meeting. For <br />those dialing in via phone, the lines would be unmuted during the appropriate portion of <br />the meeting. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of August 4, 2020 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading: Resolution 2020-80, Resolution 2020-81, Resolution <br />2020-82 and Resolution 2020-84; First Reading: Ordinance 2020-92 and Ordinance <br />2020-94 and Resolution 2020-97. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The negotiations with the firefighters is completed. The City is current working <br />on Service and FOP negotiations right now. <br />• There have been a string of break-ins on the west end of town with people who <br />have left the keys in their car or their car doors unlocked. It is believed the <br />burglars are between the ages of 12 and 18. Please remind residents to lock their <br />car doors. <br />• The City is working with ODOT on Mackenzie heading east cleaning out their <br />ditches. There will be a meeting with ODOT this week to talk about things. <br />• The lobby renovation bids will be in on Tuesday the 25°i. During renovations the <br />Mayor's Court will be moving over to the cabin and I want to thank IT for their <br />hard work in getting this done. <br />Assistant Director of Law O'Malley: <br />• No Report. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />
