MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AUGUST 18, 2020 Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, Kelly, Limpert & Schumann Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Resources Gallo, Lieber, Assistant Massarolo Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human Director of Planning & Community Development Director of Law O'Malley and Clerk of Council Absent: Council Member Williamson Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:04 p.m. through GoToMeeting. Due to the meeting being a virtual meeting, Council President Jones requested if any member of the public using a computer wished to address Council to notify the Clerk via the chat feature in GoToMeeting and they would be called on later in the meeting. For those dialing in via phone, the lines would be unmuted during the appropriate portion of the meeting. The Council Meeting Minutes of August 4, 2020 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: Second Reading: Resolution 2020-80, Resolution 2020-81, Resolution 2020-82 and Resolution 2020-84; First Reading: Ordinance 2020-92 and Ordinance 2020-94 and Resolution 2020-97. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • The negotiations with the firefighters is completed. The City is current working on Service and FOP negotiations right now. • There have been a string of break-ins on the west end of town with people who have left the keys in their car or their car doors unlocked. It is believed the burglars are between the ages of 12 and 18. Please remind residents to lock their car doors. • The City is working with ODOT on Mackenzie heading east cleaning out their ditches. There will be a meeting with ODOT this week to talk about things. • The lobby renovation bids will be in on Tuesday the 25°i. During renovations the Mayor's Court will be moving over to the cabin and I want to thank IT for their hard work in getting this done. Assistant Director of Law O'Malley: • No Report.
