12.3 Each employee shall receive an annual cash uniform allowance in the an-iount of one <br />thousand three hundred fifty ($1.350.00) dollars. Such allowance shall be paid in the employee's <br />first paycheck ofJanuary each year providing they have twelve (12) months of service. <br />1;mployees with less than twelve (12) months of seri- ice shall have such amount prorated. <br />12.4 Clothing allowance shall be prorated per month in the employee's final year of' <br />employment. <br />ARTICLE XIII HOLIDAYS <br />13.1 On January l"ofeach year. emplo\ces shall be entitled to seven (7). ttiventy-form (24) <br />hour Holidays to be used at the employees discretion. llowNcvcr. should an employee retire or <br />otherwise terminate employment far anyreason other than death or disability, llolidays shall be <br />prorated for the year, and any Holidays taken beyond the prorated allowance will be debited <br />from amounts due said employee which are related to yyages_ <br />13.2 Selection o1' Holidays shall be made by the employee and be subiect to the approval of' <br />the Fire Chiefor his designee. <br />13.3 Employees shall be permitted to select. Holidays so in the sole opinion of the Fire Chief, <br />the Fire Department will be appropriately staffed to protect the City of North Olmsted. <br />13.4 holidays may be selected at any time prior to the desired date. I low ever, such selection <br />shall not be approved more than three (3) months prior to the selected date. In the event more <br />requests are submitted for a specific day than the schedule cart accommodate, an employcc's <br />seniority and selection date shall be the deciding factor. <br />13.E Each employee who works a shift beginning at 0700 hours on New Year's Day. <br />President's Dar. (food Friday, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth 01`.Iuly. labor Day, Veteran's Day. <br />thanksgiving_ and Christmas shall be compensated at time and a half pay plus longevity if <br />applicable for all hours worked. All comp time will be paid at the Basic Hourly Rate of Pay f{)r <br />Eine Personnel pias longevity ifapplicable. <br />13.6 Staff Personnel shall be entitled to the following Holid-tvs: New Year's Day, Presidents <br />Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth ofJUIN . Labor Dav, Veteran's Dav, Thanksgiving <br />Day, Christmas Day, one -halt (1/2) day Christmas I�Ac. and one-half( 1 2) day Nevw Years Eve <br />day.. the employee's Birthday, and a floating personal use day. <br />13.7 The Fire Chief or his designee shall have the right to cancel a I loliday in the event of an <br />emergency situation. Art Employee shall have tete right to cancel any IJolidays no later than <br />sixty (60) hours prior to the scheduled I foliday. except as described in Section 13.10. <br />13.8 Seniority shall prevail on I loliday requests first by rank, then by date of promotion, there <br />by years of service: <br />A.
