In situations whereby the Fire Chief or <br />his designee approves or denies vacation out of sequence, such action shall not -be sub,iect to the <br />Grievance Procedure. <br />14.4 Employees shall be permitted to cancel scheduled vacation time no later than sixty (60) <br />hours prior to the scheduled time. <br />14,5 In the event ol'a disaster (as determined 1)v the Fire Chief or his designee) vacations may <br />be cancelled by the I ire Chief or his designee. <br />14.6 Upon retirement or death, an employee or his estate shall he paid for all accrued vacation, <br />at the Basic I lourly Rate of Pay plus LongevitN at the time of such retirement or death. <br />
