CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - 105 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE <br />COMPUTER PRODUCTS, INCLUDING DESKTOPS, FROM CDW <br />GOVERNMENT, LLC AT A COST OF $47,886.55, THROUGH THE STATE <br />PURCHASE PROGRAM; AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SUCH <br />PURCHASE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources recommends that the City acquire <br />replacement computer products, including desktops, for use within the administrative <br />departments throughout the City from CDW Government, LLC to replace obsolete computers at <br />a cost of $47,886.55, as established on the State Purchase Program; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase said <br />computer equipment, through the State Purchase Program and to further authorize the Mayor to <br />execute any documents required for such expenditure, including a contract with CDW <br />Government, LLC. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase through the <br />State Purchasing Program, which was established by R.C. Section 125.04, and which the City is <br />authorized to participate in pursuant to the City Charter and Resolution No. 87-6, numerous <br />computer products and equipment, at a cost of $47,886.55 (see Exhibit A), all of which is <br />described in the specifications on file in the Human Resources Department, Division of <br />Information Technology. If necessary to effectuate any such purchase through the State <br />Purchasing Program, the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any contract and/or other <br />necessary documents with CDW Government, LLC as required by the authorized vendor(s), the <br />State of Ohio, or the Charter. Any contract executed by the Mayor shall be in a form and <br />substance consistent with the provisions of this Resolution and be approved by the Director of <br />Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that the <br />Division of Information Technology is in the process of upgrading computer systems; and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two thirds of the members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: l !��� <br />�7� <br />First Reading., <br />Second Reading: <br />
