SECTION 3: That, in all other respects, the North Olmsted Zoning Code, as amended <br />and supplemented from time to time, shall remain in full force and effect. <br />SECTION 4: That all other ordinances or parts of ordinances or resolutions that are <br />inconsistent or in conflict with the newly amended and adopted sections are likewise repealed to <br />the extent of such inconsistency or conflict only. <br />SECTION 5: That, if any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, term, provision or <br />part of this Ordinance, together with its Exhibit attached thereto, shall be adjudged by any court <br />of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or inoperative, such judgment shall not affect, impair or <br />invalidate the remainder thereof, but shall be confined in its operation to the section, paragraph, <br />sentence, clause, phrase, term, provision or part thereof directly involved in the controversy in <br />which such judgment shall have been rendered. <br />SECTION 6: Due to the COVID-19 Public Health Emer encu, it is this Council's <br />desire to establish, outside of Chapter 1163, a program to permit, until the termination of <br />the State of Emergency as decreed by the Governor of the State of Ohio, additional <br />temporary signage to assist the business community in dealing with the unique financial <br />hardships accompanying this crisis. Accordingly, this Council does herebv establish the <br />"COVID-19 Temporary Signs in Nonresidential Districts Policy," which reads as follows: <br />COVID-19 Temporary Signs in Nonresidential Districts Policy <br />In order to assist in facilitating our businesses in notifying the public of operations during the <br />current pandemic, the following COVID-19 Temporary Signs in Nonresidential Districts <br />Policy shall be effective immediately and remain in effect until the COVID-19 restrictions are <br />lifted by the State of Ohio. <br />(a) The requirement for an application or permit is waived. <br />(b) Signs shall be permitted until the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted by the State. <br />(c) Nonresidential districts will be permitted the following temporary signage in addition <br />to signage currently permitted in Section 1163.13 (Temporary Sign Allowances): <br />1. Maximum number: two (2) per business unit <br />2. Maximum area per sign: twenty (20) square feet <br />3. Maximum height. six (6) feet <br />4. Types permitted. Yard, Banner, Window, Vehicle (licensed and registered <br />vehicles only, no trailers) <br />SECTION 7: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law. <br />2 <br />
