CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2020 - 109 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REESTABLISHING SECTION 161.01 <br />OF CHAPTER 161 OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ENTITLED "NON - <br />BARGAINING UNIT EMPLOYEE BENEFITS" IN ORDER TO ADJUST <br />FUNERAL LEAVE BENEFITS, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, in order to align and equalize the funeral leave benefits of non -bargaining <br />with bargaining unit employees, the Director of Human Resources proposes to adjust Section <br />161.01 to adjust the funeral leave from three to five days, and to allow for the grandparents of a <br />spouse; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, consistent with the recommendations of the <br />Administration, to adopt an amendment of Section 161.01 of the Administrative Code. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 161.01 of Chapter 161, "Non -Bargaining Unit Employee <br />Benefits," of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, which presently reads in its <br />entirety as set forth in Exhibit A, attached to this Ordinance and incorporated by reference as if <br />fully rewritten herein, shall be amended, and as amended, shall read as set forth on Exhibit A, <br />with such amendments noted by strikethrough and boldface text. <br />SECTION 2: That any ordinance, or part of ordinance, in conflict or inconsistent with <br />this Ordinance, is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. Conflicting or <br />inconsistent provisions of any Ordinance shall be corrected at re -codification. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest date provided for by law. <br />PASSED: `l , 71/x.? <br />First Reading: 10 �Z< <br />Second Reading: 10 <br />Third Reading: 11 -g -2,o? o <br />Committee., f utir� <br />
