SECTION 2: Employees shall be laid off in accordance with their departmental seniority. last hired, and {first laid off. SECTION 3: Employees xyho are laid off shall he placed on a recall list for a period equal to their length of service not to exceed twenty-four (24) months. SECTION 4: Notice of recall shall he sent to the employees) by registered mail, with a copy to the OPBA, and shall include the date when the employee is to report back to work. The Employer shall be deemed to have fulfilled its obligation by mailing the recall notice by registered mail, return receipt requested. to the last mailing address ofthe employee. SECTION 5: The recalled employee shall have fifteen (1 5) calendar days following the date of receipt of the recall notice. to notifv the Employer of the employ cc's intent to return to work. The recalled employee must report back to work on the date set forth in the notice of recall or shall forfeit his or her recall ri(eht. SECTION 6: Before any full-time employee is laid oft: all part-time dispatchers will be first laid off. ARTICLE 14: MISCELLANEOUS SECTION 1: In any instance where the Employer sends an employee for a medical examination for fitness of' duty. the Employer shall pay the cost of the examination and shall pay the employee for the time expended taking such examination. The Employer will not be responsible for payment of Workers' Comp examinations. SECTION 2: The OPBA will be allowed one (1) bulletin board for official OPBA notices. The bulletin board will be located on the Police Station premises. ARTICLE 15: DUTY HOURS SECTION l: For purposes of this Agreement, a work day is defined as a continuous eight (8) hour period in a twenty-four (24) hour period. which shall include a paid one-half(1/2) hour meal when possible, and a work week �Nhich is defined as forty (40) hours. The meal period. however, shall he one (1) hour on contract enumerated holidays and any day where there is prescheduled four (4) or more hours of overtime contiguous to the employee's work shift.
