PERSONNEL SELECTION SERVICES <br />2020-21 PRICE LIST <br />PROMOTIONAL EXAMINATIONS <br />WRITTEN PROMOTIONAL EXAMINATIONS <br />Reference materials are selected by the City and may include textbooks, reference books. Local <br />ordinance books, policy manuals, rules & regulations, etc. Costs are based on the number of reference <br />sources specified for the examination. The cost includes development of a new, locally based written <br />examination, administration and scoring of the examination <br />DEVELOPMENT: $350.00 per reference source <br />(Minimum $1750.00) <br />ADMINISTRATION: No charge for the first 25 Candidates <br />($25.00 for each additional Candidate) <br />Applicant Review Sessions will be arranged, at an additional cost, in accordance with the requirements of <br />the jurisdiction. <br />ORAL INTERVIEW SESSIONS <br />Material for the oral interview sessions is extracted directly from departmental manuals, Standard <br />Operating Procedures, Rules & Regulations, etc. A panel of 3-5 subject matter experts conducts the <br />interview sessions and an additional staff member serves as moderator of the interviews. <br />DEVELOPMENT: $1200.00 <br />ADMINISTRATION: $200.00 per Candidate <br />(Minimum $1200.00) <br />Oral interview sessions may be tape recorded in the interest of accuracy. A representative of the Civil <br />Service Commission may observe the interviews if requested in advance and approved by appropriate <br />Labor Unions, etc. <br />ASSESSMENT CENTER EXERCISES <br />Several different exercises are available. Each exercise will vary in length and detail depending on the <br />weighting of the exercise. In order to present an accurate cost, it will be necessary to determine the <br />extent and number of exercises selected by the Commission. A meeting with the Commission, Chief of <br />the Division and a company representative is recommended. <br />DEVELOPMENT: $1200.00 <br />ADMINISTRATION: $200.00 per Candidate <br />(Minimum $1200.00) <br />Some of the options most widely selected include oral presentation, written assessment of management <br />skills, oral evaluation of tactical and technical skills, in basket type exercises, and supervisory skills index. <br />Other options are available. <br />5 <br />
