CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - 28 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO AD VER TISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE FOR PLUMBING AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS AT THE NORTH OLMSTED POLICE STATION, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE WITH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, engineering specifications for plumbing upgrades have been prepared and filed for public and competitive bidding to perform construction improvement at the North Olmsted Police Department administration building; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide plumbing construction services at the Police Station, as set forth in specifications, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, if necessary, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide plumbing upgrades and construction services at the North Olmsted Police Department administration building, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval and award by the Board of Control, to execute a contract on behalf of the City with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
