CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - 32 <br />By: Councilmember Hemann <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 2021-11 TO EXTEND THE <br />DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION SUBMISSION FOR FINANCIAL <br />ASSISTANCE FROM THE SMALL BUSINESS RELIEF PROGRAM IN <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, City of North Olmsted small <br />businesses have endured uncertain economic conditions and crisis, including possible closure; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted, to provide small businesses with a grant program <br />for economic relief, established via Res. 202 1 -11 a Small Business Relief Program; and <br />WHEREAS, Res. 2021-11 established eligibility requirements to award such grants and <br />further established an application deadline of April 30, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to extend the application deadline for the <br />Small Business Relief Program to May 15, 2021. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted hereby amends Res. 2021-11 to extend the <br />application deadline for the Small Business Relief Program from April 30, 2021 to May 15, <br />2021, all as previously outlined in Exhibit A to Res. 2021-11. Any part of Res. 202 1 -11 not <br />expressly modified herein shall remain in full force and effect. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it will grant additional time to North Olmsted small business owners to <br />request assistance for financial hardships incurred during the COVID-19 crisis; and further <br />provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: �% 5, ���� First Reading: <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: <br />Committee: <br />
