CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - 33 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE ONE (1) <br />NEW 2022 MODEL HV507 SALT TRUCK FROM INTERNATIONAL AT A <br />COST OF $77,424.00, TOGETHER WITH THE PURCHASE OF <br />ANCILLARY HOOK LIFT HOIST SNOW & ICE CONTROL EQUIPMENT <br />FROM CONCORD ROAD EQUIPMENT AT A COST OF $130,730.04, BOTH <br />THROUGH THE STATE PURCHASE PROGRAM, AND FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL CONTRACT <br />DOCUMENTS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the City acquire one (1) new 2022 Model <br />HV507 Salt Truck from International at a cost of $77,424.00, together with the purchase of the <br />necessary, ancillary "Minute Man" hook lift hoist snow & ice control equipment from Concord <br />Road Equipment Mfg., Inc. at a cost of $130,730.04, for use by the Service Department for snow <br />removal services, at a total cost of $208,154.04, as established and quoted on the State Purchase <br />Program; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase said <br />equipment through the State Purchase Program and to further authorize the Mayor to execute any <br />contract documents required for such expenditure with International and with Concord <br />Road Equipment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase through the <br />State Purchase Program, which was established by R.C. Section 125.04, and which the City is <br />authorized to participate in pursuant to the City Charter and Resolution No. 87-6, one (1) new <br />2022 Model HV507 Salt Truck from International at a cost of $77,424.00, together with the <br />ancillary "Minute Man" hook lift hoist snow & ice control equipment from Concord Road <br />Equipment Mfg., Inc. at a cost of $130,730.04, all of which is described in the quotes and <br />specifications on file in the Service Department and attached hereto as Exhibit A. The Mayor is <br />hereby authorized to execute contract documents, as necessary, to effectuate the State Purchase <br />Program. Any contracts executed by the Mayor shall be in a form and substance consistent with <br />the provisions of this Resolution and be approved by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that immediate authorization will expedite delivery, which is estimated to be <br />delayed by as much as 9 months; and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />
