CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - 37 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE <br />DONATION OF CABINETRY EQUIPMENT FROM HOME DEPOT, <br />VALUED AT $2,254.81, TO BE INSTALLED AT THE GUN RANGE FOR <br />USE BY THE NORTH OLMSTED POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Home Depot has graciously offered a donation of storage cabinets and <br />countertops, valued at approximately $2,254.81, to installed at the gun range for use by the North <br />Olmsted Police Department (NOPD); and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor requests that Council recognize and accept this generous <br />donation, pursuant to Section 131.06 of the Administrative Code, and join in his expression of <br />gratitude on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, the NOPD, and the entire community; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to authorize the Mayor to accept the donation of <br />equipment worth approximately $2,254.81, with the sincerest appreciation of Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted authorizes the Mayor, pursuant to NOCO <br />Section 131.06, to accept the donation of storage cabinets and countertops, as detailed, valued at <br />$2,254.81, from Home Depot, for installation at the gun range and use by the NOPD. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the <br />City of North Olmsted, Ohio and for the further reason that it is necessary that this Resolution <br />go into effect immediately in order to provide for immediate installation and use of donated <br />equipment, and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTE T: <br />&Zht <br />CHARLES MASSAROLO H <br />Clerk of Council <br />APPROVED: <br />First Reading: J <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: S,, s06 <br />Committee: - <br />NICOLE DAILEY J E <br />President of Cou i <br />APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM: <br />
