CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - 46 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN <br />RESOURCES TO SOLICIT PROPOSALS FOR EXCESS <br />INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR THE CITY HEALTH CARE & <br />HOSPITALIZATION PLANS FOR 2022, AND FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE <br />BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID <br />INSURANCE COVERAGE. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Human <br />Resources to solicit proposals for excess / umbrella health insurance coverage, and to <br />further authorize the Mayor, upon approval of the Board of Control, to enter into an <br />agreement or agreements for the purchase of said insurance policy with the most <br />qualified firm to perform the services and provide additional insurance at a price that is <br />fair and reasonable to the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Human Resources be and she is hereby <br />authorized to solicit or request proposals for a health insurance excess / umbrella policy, <br />in accordance with the specifications now on file in her office and that, upon approval by <br />the Board of Control, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement for <br />said insurance policy with the most qualified firm to provide such insurance policies at a <br />price that is fair and reasonable to the City. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after <br />the earliest dateprovidedfor by law. <br />PASSED: , agaI First Reading: <br />ATTEST.• <br />CHARLES MASSA ROL0 H <br />Clerk of Council j <br />APPROVED: <br />M TOR KEVIN M.
