Chuck Massarolo
From: North Olmsted <info@celebratenortholmsted.com>
Sent: Monday, June 14, 2021 2:46 PM
To: Chuck Massarolo
Subject: Unsafe Crosswalk Across Clague Road To Little Clague Park from Joseph Keys
Hello,
Below is an inquiry from Joseph Keys from the North Olmsted website:
The crosswalk that goes across clague road from the EAST end of North Olmsted to Little Clague Park is
UNSAFE. I took my 2+ year old and my wife (we walked from our home on W230th) to Little Clague Park last
week. On the way there after I pushed the button to cross (the lights flash) several cars with plenty of time to
stop ignored the flashing lights and the sign to YIELD to pedestrian traffic and went through the intersection. I
even waived my childs bright read little car that he drives (my wife was holding him to cross the street) to get
drivers attention to stop and they kept going. Can you please station a plain clothes police office and have a
police officer up the road each way and catch some of these people that are violating the law? Someone will get
hurt soon. A traffic light needs installed there ASAP to stop traffic so pedestrians can across.
Also the playground at little clague park is in need of upgrading. It is rusting with the protective rubber coating
degrading in many places. The slides are the old metal ones. It must be one of the oldest in the area.
I pay some of the highest taxes in the area. Please help.
sincerly,
Joseph Keys, Homeowner and Resident of North Olmsted )
OtiWils:W
