MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 7, 2021 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human <br />Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Planning & <br />Community Development Lieber and Clerk of Council Massarolo <br />Absent: Councilman Limpert <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Special Council Meeting Minutes of July 9, 2021 were approved as written. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of August 17, 2021 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading: Ordinances 2021-49, 2021-50 and 2021-51. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• Community Council was thanked for putting on the Homecoming Parade and <br />Bryan O'Malley was congratulated on being named the 2021 North Olmsted <br />Citizen of the Year. <br />• Last weekend, the Fat Head's 5k race had about 430 runners and proceeds go to <br />scholarships for North Olmsted residents. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• At a previous meeting an update on potential homes for demolition was provided <br />to Council. A Councilmember requested to know the addresses. The addresses are <br />27099 Driscoll. 5901 Fitch and 28757 Oring. The Director gave an update on <br />each of the addresses and one additional address that had issues. The goal is to not <br />go to court to get orders to demolish. The City tries to exhaust every other <br />possible outcome to have the issue abated instead of demolishing the home, but <br />will do what is needed to protect residents. <br />• In the dog bite case, the City has been having conversations with the attorney of <br />Amanda Ramos in regards to trying to get some compliance with confinement <br />pending judicial review. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />
