CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - 59 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO AD VER TISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO PURCHASE CONCRETE MATERIALS AND RELATED SUPPLIES FOR THE YEAR 2022, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE WITH THE ENGINEER, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, the City is in need of concrete supplies and related materials for concrete repair and replacement projects on various streets and sidewalks within the City of North Olmsted; and WHEREAS, the current contract is for 2021 only; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to purchase concrete supplies and related materials for replacement and related repairs on various City streets and sidewalks, as set forth in specifications on file with the City Engineer, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor or Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for a contract for the purchase of concrete supplies and related materials for street, sewer, sidewalk and/or curbing repairs upon City streets, in accordance with the plans and specifications on file; and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into such a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest date provided for by law.
