CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - 64 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN <br />RESOURCES TO SOLICIT PROPOSALS FROM QUALIFIED LAWN <br />CARE SERVICE PROVIDERS TO PERFORM NUISANCE <br />ABATEMENT WORK FOR 2022 AND 2023, AND FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE <br />BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR <br />LA WN CARE SERVICES. <br />WHEREAS, in the course of exterior real property maintenance inspection and <br />citation, Building and Property Maintenance Inspectors may encounter nuisance <br />conditions on private property, including overgrown conditions, that the City of North <br />Olmsted is authorized to abate due to the failure or refusal of the owner or occupant to do <br />so; and <br />WHEREAS, the specifications for Requests for Proposals for a personal services <br />contract with a qualified lawn care provider to perform nuisance abatement work for <br />2022 and 2023 are on file in the Office of the Director of Human Resources; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Human <br />Resources to solicit proposals for said personal services contract and ancillary lawn care <br />services, and to further authorize the Mayor, upon approval of the Board of Control, to <br />enter into an agreement or agreements with the most qualified lawn care provider to <br />perform the services at a price that is fair and reasonable to the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Human Resources be and she is hereby <br />authorized to solicit or request proposals for a personal services contract between the City <br />of North Olmsted and a qualified lawn care provider to perform nuisance abatement work <br />for the Building Department, in accordance with the specifications now on file in her <br />office and that, upon approval by the Board of Control, that the Mayor is hereby <br />authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements for said lawn care services from the <br />most qualified firm at a price that is fair and reasonable to the City. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after <br />the earliest date provided for by law. <br />
