its organization and supervision. The Building Commissioner shall be appointed by and be <br />answerable to the Director of Public Safety. The qualifications for the Building Commissioner <br />shall be those as established in rules and regulations enacted and amended from time to time by <br />the State of Ohio, Board of Building Standards, as they relate to certification of local Building <br />Departments and Building Officials. <br />(a) Duties. The duties of the Building Commissioner shall include the supervision of all <br />personnel of the Division of Building, the issuance of all building permits, the enforcement of all <br />building and zoning regulations and the execution of all duties and authority granted to Building <br />Commissioners / Chief Building Officials by the North Olmsted Codified Ordinances, the Ohio <br />Revised Code and the Ohio Administrative Code. The Director of Public Safety may from time <br />to time require the Building Commissioner to perform additional duties consistent with the <br />position. <br />(b) Employees. The staffing of the Division of Building is hereby established and is reflected in <br />the organizational chart for the Department of Public Safety contained in Section 139.99(d), <br />which, as it pertains to this Division only, is incorporated herein as if fully rewritten. The Mayor <br />shall establish the compensation of all employees of the Division within the salary ranges <br />established by City Council, to the extent that such compensation is not otherwise established by <br />contract, or federal. state or local law. <br />139.99 COMPOSITION AND ORGANIZATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY. <br />The positions set forth herein shall constitute the staff and organization of the Department of <br />Public Safety, together with all Divisions thereunder. They are as follows: 139.99(a), 139.99(b), <br />139.99(c) and 139.99(d). <br />
