Included in the plan teas a priority to "advance prosperity". One of the <br />action items within the Adtancing prosperil}' plan priority was the creation of a Strategic <br />Gconomic Development plan; and <br />IEHEREAS. the purpose of the S.O.Q. is to (obtain competitive proposals from <br />qualified individuals , limo. to facilitate the development of it Strategic Lcunomic <br />Development plan for the I itv of North Olmsted. The Administration seeks to advcrtisc <br />via an R.F.Q. process, lot qualified firsts to conduct the appropriate analysis and present <br />a Strategic Gconomic Development plan_ and <br />WHEREAS. it i5 the City s intention, through the scope of services contained <br />within the R.1'.Q, that a plan be adopted to advance the goal of ensuring that the Cite of <br />North Olmsted remains a competitive community attracting quality jobs and investment <br />for future generations to come: and <br />WHEREAS. m accordance with the request from the Administration, it is the <br />desire of this Council to so authorize the Director of Gconomic and Community <br />Development to solicit S.O.Q.s from qualified consultants to provide the necessary <br />analysis to develop a Strategic Gconomic plan., --' , '-' ^-- nn <br />'6,-.� the . <br />13 , IF I-krt�, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: Ihat the Director of Gconomic and Community Development be <br />and he herebN is auth(o•ized to solicit Statements of Qualifications from qualified <br />consultants to provide ^o otcssional services for the development ofa Strategic Fconomic <br />Development plan. l 1 o I(t CLWSt for Qualifications is attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br />
