MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 27, 2022 <br />Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert, Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones, Director of Finance Copfer, H. R. Director, Safety <br />Director, Service Director, Recreation Director, Clerk of Council and guests. <br />Council President Brossard called the special meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. virtually via <br />GoToMeeting. <br />REPORTS <br />Councilwoman Williamson, Chairwoman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, June 27, 2022 at 7:57 p.m. <br />Present were Committee Members Williamson, Kelly and Glassburn and Council Members <br />Hamann, Scarl, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Finance Director Copfer, Human <br />Resources Director Kidd, Safety Director Scofield, Service Director Kearney, Recreation and <br />Public Engagement Director Pinchek and guests. <br />Met this evening to recommend approval of R. 2022-55 to all of Council. The <br />recommendation from the Committee, by a vote of 2-1, was to not approve <br />recommendation of Resolution 2022-55; the Committee Meeting concluded at 7:58 p.m. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />None. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2022-55 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Chagrin Valley Dispatch for the purpose of <br />providing emergency dispatch services for the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance 2022-62 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. An Ordinance <br />authorizing the Mayor to negotiate and enter into an agreement with the North Olmsted Board of <br />Education to purchase School District -owned real property commonly known as Forest <br />Elementary School and Spruce Elementary School in consideration of Four Million Dollars. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Glassburn scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at <br />7:15 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2022-62. Councilman Glassburn noted that he will abstain from <br />the Committee Meeting. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before Council. <br />President Brossard adjourned the Special Council meeting at approximately 8.11 p.m. <br />Beatrice Taylor, Clerk of Co it Louis J.
