MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 8, 2022 <br />Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Glassburn, Hemann, Limpert.. <br />Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present. Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance, <br />H. R. Director. Economic Director, Safety Director, Service Director, Special <br />Assistant to the Mayor and guests. <br />Absent: Council Members Gilchrist and Kelly <br />Council President Brossard called the meeting to order in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover <br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Council President Brossard asked for a moment to recognize Chuck Massarolo for a job well <br />done as Clerk of Council for the last six years. Noting Mr. Massarolo has proven to be a <br />consummate team player and that heand all of Council, have relied on him heavily and he has <br />always come through without disappointment, adding that Council's loss is the Mayor's gain. <br />REPORTS <br />Councilman Glassburn. Chairman of the Finance Committee. <br />The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 7:32 p.m. Present were Committee <br />Members Glassburn, Williamson and Limpert and Council Members Hemann and Scarl, Council <br />President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Human Resources Director Kidd, <br />Director of Economic and Community Development Upton, Safety Director Scofield, Service <br />Director Kearney.. Special Assistant to the Mayor Massarolo and guests. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2021-78 authorizing the Mayor to purchase email security <br />services from MxHero at a cost of $19.500.00, and related Barracuda Email Archiver at <br />a cost of $6.000.00; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents <br />necessary to effectuate such purchase, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Massarolo <br />acknowledged the legislation will allow employees to get email attachments and it was <br />favorably recommended to Council 3-0 and the Committee Meeting concluded at 7:35 <br />p. m <br />Councilwoman Hemann, Vice Chairwoman of the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee. <br />The Intra -Governmental Relations Committee met on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 7.36 p.m. <br />Present were Committee Members Hemann and Scarl and Council Members Williamson, <br />Glassburn and Limpert, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, <br />Human Resources Director Kidd. Director of Economic and Community Development Upton, <br />Safety Director Scofield, Service Director Kearney, Special Assistant to the Mayor Massarolo <br />and guests. <br />• Discussed was the appointment of Tim Pinchek to the Director of Recreation and Public <br />Engagement. Mayor Jones introduced Mr. Pinchek and he followed up with a brief <br />summary. The Committee and Council proceeded to interview Mr. Pinchek. After all <br />
