MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED MARCH 15, 2022 Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn. Hemann, Kelly, Limpert, Scarl and Williamson. Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance Copfer, H. R. Director. Economic Director, Safety Director, Service Director, Recreation Director, Special Assistant to the Mayor, Clerk of Council and guests. Council President Brossard called the meeting to order in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. ANNOUNCEMENTS Council President Brossard welcomed the new Clerk of Council. The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules: On second reading Resolution 2021-78 and Resolution 2022-20. REPORTS Mayor Jones: • Mayor Jones thanked Council on the first budget hearings held on Saturday, March 12'h, and looks forward to working with Council to finalize the City's budget for this year. • A meeting was had today with Senator Dolan regarding capital projects that are to be funded through the State, and will meet at the end of the week with Ohio Representative Smith to discuss possible projects that qualify for State capital funding this year. • Welcomed the new Council Clerk as well as the new City Planner and two new fire fighters • Mayor Jones relayed some upcoming events such as fish fries, Spring sports registrations, pancake breakfasts and the Easter Egg-stravaganza. • Mayor Jones notified Council that the President signed into law the fiscal year 2022 Omnibus Appropriations Act, which keeps our Federal Agencies and Programs funded through September 30. 2022. Director of Law Gareau: • Updated Council on the City of North Olmsted vs. Amanda Ramos -Martinez. • Proceeding with the litigation of the City of North Olmsted vs. Terry Lamont Gardner, as well as two other accident litigations., brought about to try to collect damages from those individuals. Director of Finance Copfer. • The City successfully migrated the finance systems to the cloud last week, as well as, upgraded to the latest version of Munis.
