MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 15, 2022 <br />Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn. Hemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert, Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance <br />Copfer, H. R. Director. Economic Director, Safety Director, Service Director, <br />Recreation Director, Special Assistant to the Mayor, Clerk of Council and guests. <br />Council President Brossard called the meeting to order in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover <br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />Council President Brossard welcomed the new Clerk of Council. <br />The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules: On second reading <br />Resolution 2021-78 and Resolution 2022-20. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />• Mayor Jones thanked Council on the first budget hearings held on Saturday, March 12'h, <br />and looks forward to working with Council to finalize the City's budget for this year. <br />• A meeting was had today with Senator Dolan regarding capital projects that are to be <br />funded through the State, and will meet at the end of the week with Ohio Representative <br />Smith to discuss possible projects that qualify for State capital funding this year. <br />• Welcomed the new Council Clerk as well as the new City Planner and two new fire <br />fighters <br />• Mayor Jones relayed some upcoming events such as fish fries, Spring sports <br />registrations, pancake breakfasts and the Easter Egg-stravaganza. <br />• Mayor Jones notified Council that the President signed into law the fiscal year 2022 <br />Omnibus Appropriations Act, which keeps our Federal Agencies and Programs funded <br />through September 30. 2022. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• Updated Council on the City of North Olmsted vs. Amanda Ramos -Martinez. <br />• Proceeding with the litigation of the City of North Olmsted vs. Terry Lamont Gardner, as <br />well as two other accident litigations., brought about to try to collect damages from those <br />individuals. <br />Director of Finance Copfer. <br />• The City successfully migrated the finance systems to the cloud last week, as well as, <br />upgraded to the latest version of Munis. <br />
