CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - 91 <br />By: Mavor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC AND <br />COMMUNITYDEVFLOPMF_'NT TO tNAKEAPPLICATIONONBEHALFOF <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />PLANNING COMMISSION TO BE AWARDED COMMUNITY PLANNING <br />GRANT FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2022; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Cily of North Olmsted is eligible to apply Ibrgrant fundingadministered by <br />the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission known as the Community planning Grant Program, <br />which awards are available lot fiscal Near 2022: and <br />WHEREAS, the administration requests authorization to apply lot grant funding to retain the <br />professional services of the Cuyahoga County Planning staff to perform planning or technical <br />research and analysis for the City of North Olmsted. The program requires 20% matching funds from <br />the Citv; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Leonomic and <br />Community Development to apply lot such funding. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATF OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Lconomic and Community Devclopman be and he is <br />hereby authorized to apply for grant funding from the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission, <br />specilically the Community Planning Grant Program so that the City of North Olmsted may obtain <br />grant funding to retain the planting and technical services of the Cuyahoga County Planning <br />Department. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary forthe preservation ofthe public health, saletyand rellare and for the further <br />reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to meet the <br />application deadline of October 14.2022: and further provided that it receives the atiirmativc vote <br />of t%vo-thirds of all members of Council. it shall lake ellecl and he in force immedialck upon its <br />passage and approval by dtc Mayor. <br />P;1.ev"l) J v '.g Pirsl Reading: _ <br />Second Reading's-. <br />Thiel Rending <br />( ommillec._ r,ilt�,v n. �ilul;. vif <br />4TTEST: <br />
