MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />OCTOBER 18, 2022 <br />Present. Council President Brossard. Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance <br />Copfer, H. R. Director, Economic Director. Safety Director, Service Director, <br />Recreation Director. Special Assistant to the Mayor, Clerk of Council and guests. <br />Absent: Council Member Limpert <br />Council President Brossard called the meeting to order at 8.02 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of September 20, 2022 and October 4, 2022. were approved as <br />written. <br />The 2023 Council Meeting schedule was approved as written. <br />There were no items requested for suspension. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />• Fall leaf pick-up in North Olmsted is anticipated to begin during the week of October 31. <br />Only loose leaves will be picked up from residents' tree lawns. Where ditches are <br />present, residents are requested to put leaves in a pile, not spread throughout the ditch. <br />Yard waste collection will continue through November 25th. <br />• The Fall 'Shred -It" Day will take place from 9 a.m. to Noon at the North Olmsted Rec <br />Center, 26000 Lorain Road. Residents can drop off paper shredding and computer <br />equipment. Shredding is limited to 2 bags or boxes per resident. Computers dropped <br />off must per personal computers, not from businesses. Television sets will not be <br />collected at this event. <br />• The deadline to enter the Arts Commission Halloween Home Decorating Contest is this <br />Sunday, October 23. Residents can register on the City's website. <br />• The North Olmsted Police Department will offer a "Trunk or Treat" event to the <br />community from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, October 23 in the parking lot of North Olmsted High <br />School <br />"Trek at the Rec" will take place from 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 28 at the North Olmsted <br />Rec Center, 26000 Lorain Road. This event has a cost of $10 per car. Registration is <br />through Wednesday October 26. <br />
