MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED OCTOBER 18, 2022 Present. Council President Brossard. Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, Kelly, Scarl and Williamson. Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance Copfer, H. R. Director, Economic Director. Safety Director, Service Director, Recreation Director. Special Assistant to the Mayor, Clerk of Council and guests. Absent: Council Member Limpert Council President Brossard called the meeting to order at 8.02 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. ANNOUNCEMENTS The Council Meeting Minutes of September 20, 2022 and October 4, 2022. were approved as written. The 2023 Council Meeting schedule was approved as written. There were no items requested for suspension. REPORTS Mayor Jones: • Fall leaf pick-up in North Olmsted is anticipated to begin during the week of October 31. Only loose leaves will be picked up from residents' tree lawns. Where ditches are present, residents are requested to put leaves in a pile, not spread throughout the ditch. Yard waste collection will continue through November 25th. • The Fall 'Shred -It" Day will take place from 9 a.m. to Noon at the North Olmsted Rec Center, 26000 Lorain Road. Residents can drop off paper shredding and computer equipment. Shredding is limited to 2 bags or boxes per resident. Computers dropped off must per personal computers, not from businesses. Television sets will not be collected at this event. • The deadline to enter the Arts Commission Halloween Home Decorating Contest is this Sunday, October 23. Residents can register on the City's website. • The North Olmsted Police Department will offer a "Trunk or Treat" event to the community from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, October 23 in the parking lot of North Olmsted High School "Trek at the Rec" will take place from 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 28 at the North Olmsted Rec Center, 26000 Lorain Road. This event has a cost of $10 per car. Registration is through Wednesday October 26.
