CITYOF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2022-90 <br />BY: All of Council <br />AN ORDINANCE DISPENSING WITH THE RFP PROCESS <br />OTHERWISE REQUIRED BY SECTIONS 111.03 ET SEQ. OF THE <br />ADMINISTRATIVE CODE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, <br />SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF' CONTROL, IF <br />NECESSARY, TO ENTER INTO A ONE-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE WALTER IL DRANE COAIPANY FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />PROVIDING ORDINANCE C'ODIFIC'ATION SERVICES TO THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLM.STED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, The Walter 11. Drane Company has provided ordinance codification <br />services to the City of North Olmsted lot many years; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has been satisfied with the professional services that have <br />been provided over those years by late Walter [I. Drape Company and believes that the <br />Ices charged by the company have been reasonable: and <br />WHEREAS, municipal corporations require such professional services in order to <br />effectively index and arrange adopted ordinances that are ofa permanent nature, and <br />WHEREAS, there are only a very limited number of companies in northeast Ohio <br />that currently provide such codification sen ices to municipal corporations: and <br />WHEREAS, The Walter Il. Drane Company last entered into a hyo (2) year <br />contract on or about November 16. 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to dispense with the formal RFP <br />process provided lot in Sections 111.03 el .cey. of the Codified Ordinances, because of <br />the continuing professional relationship between the City and 'Phe Walter 11. Drane <br />Company, and to authorize the Magor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, if <br />necessary, to enter into a one (I) year agreement with The Walter I1. Drane Company to <br />continue to provide the ordinance codification services that the City requires. <br />,NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OL.MSTED, COUNTY OF C'UYAHOGA AND STA IF OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: that the lormal RPP Process is hereby dispensed with and the <br />Mayor he and she hereby is authorized to enter into an agreement wilh the Walter H. <br />Drane Company to provide ordinance codification services to the City of North Olmsted <br />for a one-year term commencing November 16, 2022. and that said agreement be in <br />substantially the form of the "Agreement for Annual Codification Supplement' attached <br />
