CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLD I ION NO. 2022 -102 By: Mayor.loncs A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DFVFLOP.MF.NT TO MAKEAPPLICATION ON BEHALFOF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO CVYAHOGA COUNTY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT PROGRAM, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE GRANT, IF AWARDED, AND TO EXECUTER CONTRACT WITH CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted is eligible w apply for grant lundingadministcrcd by Cuyahoga County known as the Supplemental Grant Program; and WHEREAS, the Mayor requests that Council grant authorization to apply for grant funding; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Economic and Community Dcvclopnsnt to apply for such funding. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OIIIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Economic and Community Dcvelopmcnt be and he is hereby authorized to apply for grant funding from Qryahoga County. specifically the Supplemental Grant program, and if awarded. further authoring the Mayor to sign an agreement with Cuyahoga County to accept such grant funding for the benefit of the City of North Olmsted. SECTION 2: Ihat this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to meet the application deadline of December 9.2022 and lurther provided that it receives the afti rtnati ve vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. ,t 17'F.S7_ BL.97RK E lAYLOR Fu v/ Reading- Second Rending: Third Reading: .
