CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2022- 125 <br />Rv: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZLNG THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE FOR <br />INSTALLATION AT THE RECREATION CF_N'TER, .SE','VIOR CENTER AND <br />SPRINGVALE BALLROOM SECURITY CAMERAS AND RELATED <br />MONITORING EQUIPMENT THROUGH THE STATE PURCHASE <br />PROGRAM FROM SOUTHEAST SECURITY, AND FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL CONTRACT <br />DOCUMENTS, AND DECLARINGAN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement recommends that the <br />City purchase security cameras and monitoring equipment for installation at the Recreation <br />Center, Senior ('atter and Springvale Ballroom at a cost not to exceed $115.000.00, as <br />established by the Slate Purchase Program; and <br />WHEREAS, a grant authorized by City Council in 2021 requires that the SySICIn be <br />purchased and installed by March 31.2023; and <br />WHEREAS_ inquin has been undertaken to coordinate with the Division of Police to <br />ensure that cameras meet police department standards and are otherwise compatible with police <br />equipment: and <br />WHEREAS. it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase said <br />equipment for installation through the State Purchase Program and to further authorize the Mayor <br />to execute contract documents required for such expenditure. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RF,SOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TILE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF C U"HOGA, AND STATE OF OIHO: <br />SECTION 1: that the Mayor he and she is hereby authorized to purchase through the <br />State Purchase Program administered through National Cooperative Purchasing. which was <br />established by R.C. Section 125.04 and / or R.C. Section 9.48, and which the City is authorized <br />to participate in pursuant to the City Charter and Resolution No. 87-6, security camera equipment <br />for use at the Recreation Center, Senior Center and Springvale at a cost not to exceed <br />$115.000.00, as described in the proposal on file in the Director of Recreation and Public <br />Engagement's Office The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute contract documents with <br />Southeast Security to effectuate the purchase. Any contract executed by the Mayor shall be in a <br />term and substance consistent with the provisions of this Resolution and be approved by the <br />Director of I.aw. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary- for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />
