CITY OF NORTII OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2023- 17 Ry: MayorJones AN ORDINANCE AU 110RIZIN'G THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH PATH MASTER, INC TO INSTALL 'GLANC'E' GPS PREEMPTION & PRIORITY TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNALIZATION SYSTEMS, THROUGH THE STATE PURCl/ASF_ PROGRAM, AT A COST OF 5305,635.00 IN APPROVED ARPA FUNDS AND, UPON APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, FURTHER AUTHORIZING THEMAYOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACT DOC'UTIENTS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Director of public Salety has recommended that the City of North Olmsted spend approved ARPA finds, in the amount of $305.635.00, to purchase and install 'Glance' Model Preemption and Priority Iraflic control signalization systems, supplied by Applied Information, Inc. and installed and sold by Path Masters, Inc., to enhance public safep during emergencN runs by Police and Fire: and WHEREAS, Council has. by separate legislation, addressed the costs and appropriations for this purchase, which is authorized without public bidding through the Slate Purchase Program, and with Applied Information, Inc. being the sole source provider in the State of Ohio: and WHEREAS. it is the desire of this Council to authorize: the Mayor to purchase and have the equipment installed by Path Masters, Ina. at it cost of $305.635.00 and upon approval by the Board of Control, to further authorize the Mayor to execute all contract documents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TILE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF 01110: SECT ION l: that the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized to purchase through the State Purchase Program, which was established by R.C. Section 125.04, and which the OINis authorized to participate in pursuant to the City Charter and Resolution No. 87-6. Inc., as detailed by its Quote dated 11'18/22. at a cost of $305.635.110. and the Mayor is further authorized to execute additional contract documents. as may he necessary. the legal form for which shall be subject to review by the Director of I.aw.
