WHEREAS. the North Ohnsted Dispatch Center. located in the North Olmsted Police Station, protides emergency dispatch scrviccs for North Olmsted and also for the I'airvicw Park I'll lice Department, specific al It answering four (4) phones lines for ten (10) digit 911 emergency calls that at forwarded from Fairview Park: and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Salcl%. based upon review and analysis of the North Olmsted Polio: Departmari, to change phone carrier and deiivery systems to Manhattan Telecommunications Corporation LLC dba Nlct-lel Communications Solutions al it cost of $195.00 per month. plus one-time installation and activation tees of $695.00_ based on a flu cc (3) year contract with the option to renew: Lind WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire ol' this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into a three (3) year contract with Manhattan Telecommunications Corporation LLC dba Met- Iel Communications Solutions to install and provide four (4) 911 phone lines to the North Olmsted Dispatch Center in order to provide dispatch services to I'airyicw park. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CVYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION l: That the Mayor be and she hereby is authorized to enter into a three 13) year contract with Manhattan Telecommunications Corporation LLC dba Met -lel Communications Solutions to install and provide liar (4) 911 phone lines, in order to provide emergency dispatch services to I;airvicw Park. al it cost of $195.00 per month, plus one-time installation and activation costs of $695.00. "I he contract .shall he in tbrm and substance substantially similar to the attached Agreement. marked as I-shibit A. and attached hereto, with only such changes to be hereinafter made in said contract as are not substantially adverse to the City and which arc approved by the Director of Law. the character of any such changes Lis not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced condusivcly by the execution (,],the Agreement by the Mayor and the approval of tic Agreeinent by the I)ireclor of Law. SECTION 2: That this Resolution is herchy declared to be an emergency measure immediately ucccssary for the preservation of the public health. safety and welfare, and lot the further reason that the costs savings be secured as soon as possible and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force intmediatev upon its passage and approval by the Mavor.
