CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLLTION NO. 2023 - 25 13v: Mayor.loncs A RE,50LUTION DISPENSING WITH THE RFP PROCE.S4 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT ff'ITII VASC'O SPORTS CONTRACTORS TO PROVIDE FOR TURF MAINTENANCEAT THE RECREATION CENTER, AND DECLARINGAN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS. Vasco Sports Contractors of Massillon pruNides specialised turf maintenance, as recommended by the manufacturer. and propose to perlurnn services at the Recreation Center twice a year for the next four (4) Nears; and WHEREAS. Section 112.10(h) of the Administrative Code protides, its an exception to the RPP process. that the Cite may, upon approtal of the Council. dispense wilh a formal RIP it the services sought arc of a unique or specialized nature such that it is unlikek to obtain proposals from at [cast two (2) qualified firms; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, based upon the recommendation of the Director of Recreation and Public Fngaganent, to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement ryith Vasco Sports Contractors to pro ide for turf maintenance. NOW THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY CIF NORTH OL MSTED, C'ITAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATF_ OF 01110: SECTION I: That the Ma_tor be and she is hereby authorized to enter into a for (4) }car Agreement with Vasco Spurts Contractors, a copy of which is attached hereto and marked as P'Nhibit "A," in the amounl 01$16.000,00- parable in semi-annual installments upon services rendered. the contract shall he substantially similar to the contact attached hereto with onh such changes as are deemed riot adverse to the Cite of :North Olmsted and as otherwise ine approved by the Director of I.aw. If there are no cost increases at the terminalion of the current contract. then the Mayor further is authorized to enter into a renewal / additional contract for up to an additional four (4) years- provided that there are no cost increases.
