CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2023-64 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />AN ORDINANCE TO MAKE APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE <br />GREAT NORTHERN BRIDGE PROJECT FOR THE YEAR <br />ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2023, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted is in need of appropriating funds for the capital <br />improvements, as designated below: <br />Department/ <br />Original <br />Amended <br />Fund Division <br />Account <br />project Description <br />Amount <br />Increase Amount <br />Description <br />296 Economic & <br />Road Construction <br />Gateway Enhancement <br />950,000 <br />152,340 1,102,340 <br />Community <br />(Great Northem Bridge) <br />Development <br />TIF Fund Total <br />950,000 <br />152,340 1,102,340 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OFNORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY <br />OFCUYAHOGA, STATE OFOHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That to provide for the expenses and other expenditures of the City of North <br />Olmsted during the year ending December 31, 2023, the sums as indicated above, are hereby set <br />aside and appropriated. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council shall immediately forward an attested copy of the <br />ordinance to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTION 3: That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to draw her warrants on <br />the City Treasury for payment from any of the foregoing appropriations upon receiving proper <br />certificates and vouchers therefore, approve by the Board of Officers authorized by law to approve <br />same, or an ordinance or resolution of Council to make the expenditures; provided that no warrants <br />shall be drawn or paid for salaries or wages except to persons employed by authority of and in <br />accordance with law or ordinance. Provided further, that the appropriations for contingencies can <br />only be expended upon approval of two-thirds vote of Council and for purposes other than those <br />covered by the specific appropriations herein made. <br />SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest date provided for by law. <br />
