MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 19, 2023 <br />Present: Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, Limpert, Madden, Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance Copfer, <br />H. R. Director, Economic Director, Safety Director, Service Director, Recreation Director, <br />and guests. <br />Absent: Council President Brossard <br />Council President Pro -Tempore Williamson called the meeting to order at 8:02 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of September 5, 2023 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules. On second reading Resolution <br />2023-91 and on first reading, Resolutions 2023-102 and 2023-104. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />• Mayor Jones reported the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has announced a traffic <br />pattern change at the exit ramp of 1-480 and Clague Road. Both the center and right lanes must <br />now turn right. New signage is forthcoming, however, the Administration has made it clear to <br />ODOT that signs and communication should have come before the change. <br />• There will be a series of two public meetings to discuss the coming renovations of North <br />Olmsted Community Park to be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 and October 25, 2023 <br />from 7:DD-8:00 p.m. at the Community Cabin. Information and initial renderings will be <br />presented and discussed. <br />• The second annual Senior Prom will be held from 4:00 — 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, <br />2023 at Springvale Ballroom. The event will feature an Octoberfest inspired dinner and dessert <br />sponsored by Brockdale Senior Living. Beer and wine will be included. DJ Carl will keep the <br />dancing going all night long. The fundraiser will cost $10 per person and tickets are available <br />now. <br />• The Halloween event this year will take place at North Olmsted Park on Saturday, October 7, <br />2023 from 1:DD-3:00 p.m. sponsored by our North Olmsted Police Department in conjunction <br />with the Department of Recreation and Public Engagement. At 5:00 p.m. that day, will be the <br />rescheduled Concert in the Park, with the nationally -known Journey tribute band, Escape. This <br />
