• CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - 98 By: Mayor Jones A RESOL UTIONA UTHORIZING THE MA YOR, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, TO APPLY FOR GRANT FUNDING THROUGH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR FUNDING TO BE USED FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT NORTH OLMSTED PARK, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the State of Ohio, through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, administers financial assistance for public recreation purposes, through the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund Program; and WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted desires financial assistance under the Land and Water Conservation Fund for public recreation purposes, specifically capital improvements at North Olmsted Park including but not limited to the gazebo structure, baseball fields, and walking trails; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to apply for grant funding under the Land and Water Conservation Fund program. • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTYOF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted, Ohio approves the filing of an application for financial assistance as described herein. SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized, on behalf ofthe City of North Olmsted, to apply for grant funding from the State of Ohio, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, for the Land and Water Conservation Fund and to provide all information and documentation required to become eligible for possible funding and, if awarded, she is further authorized to sign any and all Agreement documents required to accept such grant funding for the benefit of the City of North Olmsted. SECTION 3: That the City of North Olmsted does hereby agree to obligate the funds required to satisfactorily complete the proposed project and become eligible for reimbursement under the terms of the Land and Water Conservation Fund. SECTION 4: That the Clerk of Council is authorized and directed to provide a hand signed certified copy of this Resolution to the State of Ohio, Department of Natural Resources, to accompany the City of North Olmsted's application for grant funding through the Land and Water • Conservation Fund.
