MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />OCTOBER 24, 2023 <br />Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, Limpert, <br />Madden, Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present: Director of Law Gareau, H. R. Director, Economic Director, Service Director, Special <br />Assistant to the Mayor and guests. <br />Council President Brossard called the meeting to order at 6:22 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover <br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />None. <br />None. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2023-125 introduced by Councilman Scarl on behalf of Mayor Jones, placed on first <br />reading and suspension of the rules requested. A Resolution authorizing the Director of <br />Economic and Community Development to make application on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted to the Cuyahoga County Land Reutilization Corporation ("Land Bank") for participation <br />as a sub -recipient of funding received by the land Bank from the Ohio Department of <br />Development for building demolition and site revitalization to be used by the City for costs <br />associated with the Spruce and / or Forest School redevelopment projects, and further <br />authorizing the Mayor to execute all contracts and accept such funding if awarded, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal Committee <br />review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Glassburn, Limpert, Hemann, Gilchrist, Scarl, Williamson, Madden <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption.
