CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - 120 By: Mayor Jones A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO PURCHASE STONE MATERIALS AND RELATED SUPPLIES FOR THE YEAR 2024, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, the City is in need of stone materials and related supplies for concrete repair and replacement projects on various streets, curbs and sidewalks within the City of North Olmsted; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to purchase stone materials and related supplies for work on various City streets, sewers, curbs and sidewalks, as set forth in specifications on file, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OFCUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO.- SECTION HIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for a contract for the purchase of stone materials and related supplies for street, sewer, sidewalk and/or curbing repairs upon City streets, in accordance with the plans and specifications on file; and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into such a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest date provided for by law.
