CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - 140 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO <br />APPLY FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT <br />(CDSG) FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />($50,000.00) FOR RENOVATION OF RESTROOM FACILITIES AT NORTH <br />OLMSTED COMMUNITY PARK AND, IF AWARDED, FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT TO <br />ACCEPT THE GRANT FUNDS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Supplemental Grant (CDSG) program may <br />award funding to the City of North Olmsted for renovation of restroom facilities at North <br />Olmsted Community Park in the amount of $50,000.00 without any matching fund requirement; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the City of North <br />Olmsted to make application for the CDSG funding as described and to authorize the Mayor to <br />enter into an Agreement, if necessary, for acceptance of same if awarded. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTYOFCUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: The City of North Olmsted is hereby authorized to make application for <br />CDSG funding in the amount of $50,000.00, without matching fund requirement for the purpose <br />of renovation of restroom facilities at North Olmsted Community Park, and, if awarded, the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, <br />if necessary to accept and secure grant funding via CDSG. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately since the <br />application deadline is November 28, 2023; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: .2023 First Reading.' -al-a3 <br />Second Reading: Sued <br />Third Reading.' 5u spe n5t.'a <br />Committee: <br />
