CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2023 -128 By: Mayor Jones A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE RECREATION CENTER DATA PROJECT, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement has planned and budgeted for improvements at the North Olmsted Recreation Center to provide for enhanced data capacity; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the Recreation Data Center Project, as set forth in specifications on file, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the City Engineer is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for a contract to provide construction services for the Recreation Data Center Project, in accordance with the plans and specifications on file; and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into such a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest date provided for by law.
