CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024 - 7 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTIONAUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF RECREATIONAND <br />PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF A GREENSMOWER LAWN MOWER TO BE USED AT <br />SPRINGVALE GOLF COURSE, AS DETAILED IN SPECIFICATIONS ON <br />FILE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL BY <br />THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAME <br />WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has determined the need for a riding lawnmower <br />to be used at Springvale Golf Course; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Recreation and <br />Public Engagement to advertise for bids for the purchase of a Riding Greensmower for the <br />Springvale Golf Course, as required by law, and to authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract <br />with the lowest and best bidder for same, following Board of Control approval. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTYOF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OFOHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids for a Riding Greensmower in accordance with the bid <br />specifications now on file, and that following approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be <br />and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that immediate authorization will secure the best possible pricing given rapidly <br />increasing prices in the market; and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATT QST. <br />BEATRICE TAYLOR <br />Clerk of Council <br />First Reading: R -G --Z� <br />Second Beading: ,'1-.20-.2(f <br />Third Reading., &X&4M <br />Committee: <br />`T1� <br />LOUIS) BROSSARD <br />President of Council <br />
