CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2024 - 8 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT ON <br />BEHALF OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED THE NORTHEAST <br />OHIO PUBLIC ENERGY COUNCIL (NOPEQ 2014 ENERGIZED <br />COMMUNITY GRANT. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted, Ohio C"City") is a member of the Northeast <br />Ohio Public Energy Council C'NOPEC') and is eligible for one or more NOPEC Energized <br />Community Grants for 2024 C"NEC Grants') as provided for in the NEC Grant Program guidelines; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into a Grant Agreement with NOPEC, Inc. in <br />substantially the form presented to this Council to receive one or more NEC Grants <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO, TIM T.• <br />SECTION 1. This Council finds and determines that it is in the best interest of the <br />City to enter into the Grant Agreement to accept the NEC Grants for 2024, and authorizes the <br />Mayor to execute the Grant Agreement and all other documents necessary to accept the NEC Grant <br />funds. See Grant Agreement attached hereto. <br />SECTION 2.
