CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024 -16 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR DIESEL FUEL AND <br />GASOLINE PRODUCTS FOR USE BY THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />AS PER SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, <br />AFTER APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT TO PURCHASE SUCH PRODUCTS, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City requires diesel fuel and gasoline products for 2024 and the <br />Department of Public Service seeks authorization to initiate bid procedures before the expiration <br />of the current contract on March 31, 2024. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OFCUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Department of Public Service is hereby authorized to advertise <br />for bids for diesel fuel and gasoline products for use in the City of North Olmsted, in accordance <br />with specifications on file, and that upon approval and award by the Board of Control to the <br />lowest and best bidder, that the Mayor is further hereby authorized to enter into a contract and <br />execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately to maintain fuel <br />supply; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />ATTEST <br />BEATRICE TAY <br />Clerk of Council <br />First Reading: I -dig —02'% <br />SecondReading J c� <br />ThirdReading., <br />Committee: rti <br />�Qttfg f. 99-0994R <br />CHRIS GLASSBURN <br />President Pro Tempore <br />
