Council Minutes of 04-16-2024 <br />Cuyahoga and the City of North Olmsted for the resurfacing of Clague Road from Lorain Road to Marion <br />Road, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2024-36 was introduced by Councilman Shymske on behalf of the Mayor, Council President <br />Brossard and Councilmembers Scarl, Hemann, Gilchrist and Glassburn and placed on first reading. A <br />Resolution recognizing April 28, 2024 as Workers' Memorial Day, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Shymske moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and formal committee <br />review in order to honor the workers on April 281h. The motion was seconded by Councilman Scarl and <br />passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Shymske, Scarl, Madden, Limpert, Hemann, Glassburn, Gilchrist <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Shymske moved for adoption. Ordinance 2024-19 adopted 7-0. <br />Councilman Shymske asked for a moment of personal privilege to thank the Mayor and Council for their <br />support and to ask that on April 28", that we remember the over 5,000 American workers who lost their <br />lives in workplace fatalities, and pledge to strengthen our efforts for a safe workplace here in North <br />Olmsted. <br />Resolution 2024-37 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution approving <br />of and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Collective Bargaining Agreement ("CBA") with the American <br />Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees ("AFSCME") Local 2681, Clerical & Technical Unit, <br />for the period January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2026. <br />Ordinance 2024-38 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. An Ordinance <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources <br />(ODNR) to accept state capital funding in the amount of $150,000.00 for the construction of <br />improvements at the North Olmsted Community Park, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2024-39 was introduced by Council President Brossard on behalf of All of Council. An <br />Ordinance to revise the Codified Ordinances by adopting current replacement pages; and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Council President Brossard scheduled a Public Hearing for Ordinance 2024-28, to be held on <br />Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 7:10 p.m. <br />
