10.02. Years of Service Calculadon/Part-Time Exclusion. In computing length of service for <br />the purpose of making payments of longevity increments as herein above set forth, no credit shall <br />be given for part-time service, but such limitation is the only exclusion for the purpose of <br />computing longevity. <br />99310.03. Payment Schedule/Proration. Longevity payments shall be made on the employee's <br />anniversary date each year. Employees who retire and work beyond their anniversary date shall <br />receive a pro -rated amount of their earned longevity rate until their final day of employment. <br />10.04. Lateral Transfers. Effective September 11, 2022, employees hired by the City pursuant <br />to Lateral Transfer Eligible Lists authorized by the North Olmsted Civil Service Commission <br />shall receive longevity pay as additional compensation based upon tkek fespeeti -e accepted <br />prior years of service, including but not limited to date of transfer to the City, as set forth in <br />Section 8,9210.02. This provision for Laterals Transfers shall affect Longevity Pay only and <br />shall not alter the date of hire or seniority of said lateral transfer employees relative to any <br />other benefits or preferences, particularly with respect to scheduling of Holidays, Vacations, <br />or other time off to be determined by the Chief of Police. <br />ARTICLE Ili 11 <br />HOLIDAYS/PERSONAL DAYS <br />4-03 11.01. Designated Holidays. All bargaining unit members shall be entitled to certain <br />holidays during the year and shall not be required to work on these holidays, unless scheduled to <br />work by the Chief of Police. In the event the bargaining unit member either works or was not <br />scheduled to work for reasons other than holiday leave on one of the following holidays, then the <br />bargaining unit member shall receive another day off from work for reasons other than holiday <br />leave. <br />1. <br />New Year's Day <br />7. <br />July Fourth <br />2. <br />Martin Luther King Jr. Day <br />8. <br />Labor Da <br />3. <br />Presidents' Day <br />9. <br />Thanksgiving Da <br />4. <br />Good Friday <br />10. <br />Veteran's Da <br />5. <br />Easter Sunday <br />11. <br />Christmas Da <br />6. <br />Memorial Day <br />12. <br />Juneteenth <br />13. <br />9$21L02. Rate of Pay for Holiday Work/Holiday Time. Each employee shall receive time and <br />a half (l 1/2) pay for all hours worked, if required to work on the below designated holidays, or <br />receive time off in lieu thereof at the discretion of the Chief of Police. If any of the bargaining <br />unit members work on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day, he/she shall be compensated at two (2) <br />times their regular hourly rate of pay (double time compensation) for any and all hours worked <br />within the twenty-four (24) how period of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. <br />10 <br />4889 1562-5157, v.3 <br />
