306 33.06. An employee who participates in a rehabilitation or detoxification program shall be <br />allowed to use sick leave, vacation leave, or personal days for the period of the rehabilitation. If <br />no such leave credit is available, such employee may be placed on an unpaid medical leave of <br />absence. <br />3 1.9q 33.07. Upon completion of the program and retest that demonstrates that the employee is <br />no longer illegally using a controlled substance, the employee shall be returned to his position. <br />Such employee may be subject to periodic retesting at the Employer's discretion, upon return to <br />his position for a period of two (2) years from the date of his return. <br />31.08 33.08. Any employee in the above-mentioned rehabilitation program will not lose any <br />seniority should it be necessary that he be required to take an unpaid medical leave of absence. <br />ARTICLE XXM4 33 <br />PART-TIME SRO OFFICERS <br />33-01- 34.01. The City may implement the use of part-time patrol officers for use as School <br />Resource Officers (SRO). In no way does this require the hiring of any part-time officers, nor <br />does it require any certain number of full-time or part-time SRO. <br />33:83 34.02. The City may hire up to two (2) part-time patrol officers for the express purpose of <br />employment as SRO only. Part-time SRO may only work school related activities. <br />32.03 34.03. This practice shall not change the funding relationship with the North Olmsted City <br />School District Board of Education ("School") (attached as Exhibit B). The Schools shall still pay <br />the City an amount commensurate with a Full -Time SRO's pay and benefits. <br />3384 34.04. The City and the Police Chief may schedule such part-time officers at its discretion, <br />and may terminate such part-time officers for any reason, or no reason. Should SRO layoffs <br />become necessary, or any other layoff, the City will lay off part-time SRO prior to laying off full- <br />time SRO, or any full time personnel. <br />ARTICLE . 4WAII 34 <br />FATAL FORCE <br />3301. 35.01. Any time a bargaining unit member participated in administering fatal force, the <br />following provisions shall apply: <br />A. The employee may receive up to five (5) days off, but shall not receive less than three (3) <br />working days off. <br />An extension of time shall be granted by the Chief of Police if he deems necessary. <br />B. The employee shall continue to receive his or her City benefits for this five (5) or three (3) <br />day period, or an approved extension thereof. <br />33 <br />4889-1562-5157, v.3 <br />
