CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2024 - 77 <br />BY: Mayor Dailey Jones <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 145.99(6) OF CHAPTER 145 OF <br />THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ENTITLED "DEPARTMENT OF <br />RECREATION AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT," FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />REORGANIZING THE SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE <br />RECREATION COMMISSIONER AND THE ASSISTANT RECREATION <br />COMMISSIONER. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Recreation and Public Engagement, with the Divisions of <br />Parks and Recreation, Springvale, Aging and Juvenile Diversion falling under the jurisdiction of <br />the Department, was created via Ord. 2022-3 (Codified Ordinance Section 145.99); and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of the Department of Recreation <br />and Public Engagement to amend 145.99(b) of Section 145.99 for the purpose of reorganizing <br />the supervisory responsibilities of the Recreation Commissioner and the Assistant Recreation <br />Commissioner; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to amend 145.99(6) of Section 145.99 of the <br />Administrative Code to redirect reporting requirements of four (4) Supervisors from the <br />Assistant Recreation Commissioner and to thereby enable direct supervision by the Recreation <br />Commissioner. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOC.4 COUNTY, AND STATE OFOHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 145.99 "Composition of the Department of Recreation and <br />Public Engagement" which presently reads in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit A, attached to <br />this Ordinance and incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten herein, shall be amended at <br />144.99(b) and, as amended, shall read in its entirety as set forth in the attached Exhibit B. <br />SECTION 2: That any ordinance, or part of ordinance, in conflict or inconsistent with <br />this Ordinance, is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. Conflicting or <br />inconsistent provisions of any Ordinance shall be corrected at re -codification. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest perio allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor <br />PASSED: First Reading: -7�y-,2a <br />Second Reading: o7p e2� <br />Third Readin a-- <br />Committee: �&-. <br />
